Renting a Home in Valletta
Malta’s capital city Valletta is as full of history and rich Baroque architecture as it is of modern entertainment and business ventures.
Built in its unique grid formation by the Knights of St John, the city – known informally by locals as ‘Il-Belt’ – is the ideal place to absorb the essence of the Maltese lifestyle by renting one of the many real estate options in the area, ranging from converted ancient palazzos and restored townhouses to modern luxury apartments and penthouses.
Depending on the part of Valletta you choose to reside in, life in the city could entail being part of the hubbub in the centre, surrounded by shops and businesses, or instead could involve a quieter, slower pace of life on the stepped streets and narrow lanes.
Wherever your preference, the heart of the capital is just a short walk away, where one can experience culture at its finest, especially as Valletta is the European Capital of Culture in 2018, or try one of the countless restaurants, coffee shops and bars in the area.

However, for access to even more shops, then a regular ferry service is available from Valletta’s coast over to Malta’s other shopping hotspot, Sliema, which also has the advantage of giving passengers a spectacular view across the crystal blue water during the journey.
As Malta’s capital, Valletta is also home to the island’s main bus terminus, and it is thereby very well connected for transport links.
